Goods Classification

Commodity Codes: Determine the correct commodity code for your goods. This code identifies the goods being imported and is used to calculate duties and taxes. You can find the codes in the UK Trade Tariff tool.

Customs Declarations

Import Declaration: Customs Declarations to inform HMRC about the goods being imported. This is usually done electronically through the Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight (CHIEF) system or the new Customs Declaration Service (CDS).

Documentation and Compliance

Commercial Invoice: Details about the goods, their value, and the seller and buyer.
Packing List: Information about the contents of each package.
Bill of Lading or Airway Bill: Transportation document provided by the carrier.
